Andreas Keller named Head of Product & Business Development at Swissport Aviation Security
Swissport International, the world’s leading provider of ground handling services to the aviation community, has appointed Andreas Keller as its new Vice President and head of its Aviation Security business segment. He assumes his new duties on 15 March. Keller succeeds Stefan Roschi, who is leaving Swissport to take on a new professional challenge.

Swissport/Losch to commence its new Munich operation with six major airline customers
Zurich/Munich/Stuttgart, 17 February 2010 – Swissport International, the world’s leading provider of ground services to the aviation sector, and its local partner Losch will be commencing their new joint operation at Munich Airport as planned on 1 March. The partners have already won Germanwings, Spanair, Air Berlin, Air Dolomiti and Czech Airlines as their first customers; and Continental Airlines will be entrusting its handling to Swissport/Losch from 28 March onwards. Negotiations are also nearing completion with a number of further carriers.

Swissport appoints Kai Proff as Branch Manager Frankfurt within its German cargo business
Zurich, 15 February 2010 – Swissport International, the world’s leading provider of ground services to the aviation sector, has appointed Kai Proff as the new Branch Manager Frankfurt of its German cargo organisation. Proff, who is 36, will assume his new function on 1 March.

Personnel changes within the Swissport cargo organisation
Zurich, 29 January 2010 – Swissport International, the world’s leading provider of ground services to the aviation sector, has announced two personnel changes within its cargo organisation. Wouter Brand assumes overall responsibility for Swissport’s Dutch airfreight handling, while Francisco Gonçalves takes charge of cargo handling in Brazil. Both appointees assume their duties with immediate effect.

Swissport appoints Ricky Saghir as Commercial Director of its cargo business in Germany, Austria and Hungary
Zurich, 15 January 2010 – Swissport International, the world’s leading provider of ground services to the aviation sector, has appointed Ricky Saghir as
the new Commercial Director of its German cargo organisation. Saghir, who is 47, will also be overall in charge of Swissport’s commercial cargo activities in Eastern Europe in his new function, which he assumes on 1 February.

Strike at Geneva Airport ended - Swissport and VPOD reach agreement; normal work to resume on 13 January
The delegations from Swissport and the VPOD union reached an agreement this afternoon which brings an end to their industrial dispute at Geneva Airport.

Extra efforts by Swissport to cope with adverse weather conditions in Europe
Ground handling delays and inconveniences are currently being experienced at many European airports. The recent adverse weather conditions are affecting different destinations, most heavily in the UK where the delivery of baggage is being severely delayed.

Swissport regrets the present irregularities at Geneva Airport and appeals for common sense from the strikers and their union
Swissport is concerned about the present situation at Geneva Airport, where some of its personnel have been engaged in strike action (with the support of the VPOD union) since last weekend. Swissport’s management in Geneva had further contact and discussions with the union yesterday (Monday), though the talks failed to produce positive results
for the time being.
