Urs Sieber to become CEO of Swissport Zurich on September 1, 2002 and assume overall responsibility for a new Swissport Switzerland division
Accounting for some 20% of its total operating revenue and cultivating close ties with SWISS, its biggest single airline customer, the Swissport stations in Zurich, Basel and Geneva are of vital importance to the Swissport group. In view of this, Swissport International has decided to create a new Swissport Switzerland division, to enable these operations to rise as effectively as possible to the many challenges ahead. The new division will be headed by Urs Sieber. In addition to his divisional responsibilities, Sieber will also serve as CEO of Swissport Zurich. The Directors of Swissport Geneva (Ernst Hochuli) and Swissport Basel (Stefan Resele) remain unchanged.
Willy Hallauer appointed head of the Africa, Asia/Middle East division at Swissport head office
After five successful years as CEO of Swissport Zurich, Willy Hallauer will take on a new challenge this autumn. Hallauer has been appointed to Swissport International Executive Management, on which he will serve as Executive Vice President Africa, Asia and the Middle East. As one of his top priorities in his new position, Hallauer will be promoting and pursuing business and market development in the Asia region. He will also be ensuring a smooth and seamless handover of his Swissport Zurich duties to his successor over the next few weeks.
We wish both appointees every success and satisfaction in their new positions.
