Swissport International (Swissport), the world’s leading provider of ground and cargo handling services to the aviation industry, receives the “Ground Handler of the Year 2016” Award by Air Transport News. The honour goes to Swissport for the second time, after the company won the inaugural prize in 2012.
A jury of internationally known industry experts, chaired by Jeff Poole, CANSO’s Director General, and the readers of Air Transport News voted for the award winners on the basis of their achievements in various categories, such as new products launched; most influential leader; financial performance; social responsibility and contribution to society; and innovative and entrepreneurial attributes.
The award was presented to Katherine Boesen, SVP Global Commercial & KAM Swissport International, at the Air Transport News Award Ceremony in Salzburg, Austria, on Saturday, 26 March 2016. “I am immensely proud of this award, and I wish to express my gratitude to the jury and Air Transport News’ expert audience on behalf of all our employees. It is testimony of our commitment to the high standards of service quality, and our dedication to drive innovation.
