Swissport Cyprus and COBALT Agree on Network Cooperation for Ground Handling Services

Swissport Cyprus, a subsidiary of Swissport International, the world’s leading provider of ground and air cargo services to the aviation industry, has reached an agreement for a network cooperation with COBALT, Cyprus’ new national carrier, for ground handling services across COBALT’s network at 13 airports.

COBALT, Cyprus’ new national carrier, after an in-depth review, chose Swissport to provide the airline with comprehensive ground handling services including passenger and ramp handling, baggage services, operations coordination and load control.

The start of the operations is scheduled for June 2016 at 13 airports. These include

-        Larnaca International Airport (LCA)

-        Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv;

-        Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport (ATH), Heraklion International Nikos Kazantzakis Airport (HER), Chania International Airport (CHQ) and Thessaloniki Macedonia International Airport (SKG) in Greece;

-        and London Stansted Airport (STN), East Midlands Airport (EMA), Manchester Airport (MAN), Glasgow International Airport (GLA), Dublin Airport (DUB) and Cardiff International Airport (CWL) in the United Kingdom.
