RAMP HANDLING & BAGGAGE HANDLING

Swissport's service portfolio includes many tasks on the airport apron. For example, baggage handling, sorting and transport, de-icing and anti-icing, fueling, pushback or towing of aircraft, and load control. The load control teams calculate weight and balance as well as trim for each aircraft, to ensure a safe operation.

AIR CARGO HANDLING

From the acceptance of cargo, to loading and unloading of aircraft, build-up and break-down of pallets and containers and their documentation, we offer all basic cargo services at Swissport. Our workers are experts at air cargo handling. You are also responsible for the distribution, temporary storage and control of shipments. They can include general cargo as well as special and temperature-controlled shipments, such as valuables, perishables or pharmaceuticals.

PASSENGER SERVICES

Check-in often happens online today, but in passenger services, there are still manual tasks, like assisting travelers at baggage drop or if they have questions regarding their trip. Depending on the destination you may also check travel documents. It's all about making sure that passengers and baggage are in the right place at the right time. At the departure gate, you manage the boarding process, “close” the flight and coordinate with the airline crew to ensure a punctual departure.
