Swissport Brazil awarded with the 2016 “Program of Excellence” by Azul Airlines

Swissport Brazil, a subsidiary of Swissport International, the world’s leading provider of ground and air cargo services to the aviation industry, was selected best ground handling station for 2016 by Azul Airlines in Category A (Hubs and Large Airport Operations) at Confins International Airport (CNF).

Azul's PEX (Program of Excellence) is an annual award designed to recognize the best performances among employees and business partners throughout the year. To evaluate the performances of its business partners, Azul conducts four annual reviews (audits) of the respective operations. The winners of the 2016 were announced on May 9th, 2017, to employees and business partners at UniAzul, a university created by the airline in Campinas, state of São Paulo.

"All Swissport Brazil employees, and especially the colleagues at CNF, are extremely proud of this great recognition by our valued customer Azul. Together with Azul, we will continue to achieve operational excellence in the years to come." said Gustavo Couto, COO of Swissport Brazil.

Marcelo Ferrari, Handling Manager of Azul Airlines, stated "The PEX is an established award within the company and follows well defined evaluation metrics throughout the year. To reach the level of excellence therefore requires extraordinary dedication and commitment. Evaluating our partners with the same program we apply to our crew members is one way to ensure a complete «Azul Experience» with the same level of excellence from end to end for our customers”.
