As of May 17th , the Test Center in Terminal 2 offers online booking and a "fast track" option. In the run-up to the summer holidays, family-friendly pricing was also introduced to offer the best option for everyone.

Due to the ongoing high demand for tests to travel, an online booking function for the test center in Terminal 2, Level 1 will be introduced on May 17th . Customers can book a test on the new online platform conveniently from home, on the go, or even while in the waiting area. Posters in front of the test center provide information and a QR code to make sure everyone who wishes to can book online.

Using online booking should significantly reduce waiting time. Additionally, our a new "Fast Track" service further cuts waiting time significantly for travelers in a hurry. However, online registration remains a voluntary option; on-site registration will still be possible.

The pricing scheme introduced on May 17th , 2021 provides significant value for all travelers, especially families. Children accompanied by an adult will now pay CHF 60.00 for a rapid antigen test and CHF 99.00 for PCR tests. For travelers in a hurry, there is now also "fast track" option with significantly shorter waiting times.

Checkport, a subsidiary of the Swissport Group cooperates with ender diagnostics ag and offers their PCR saliva tests to passengers in Terminal 2 at Zurich Airport. Travelers can thus obtain an internationally recognized test result.

Over 55,000 travelers have been tested since the test center opened in January 2021. Reliable results are available within 5 hours with the PCR saliva tests. Since the beginning of March 2021, antigen tests have also been offered, which show a result within 15 to 30 minutes. The tests are analyzed in a laboratory specially developed for this purpose by ender diagnostics ag. This enables a particularly rapid evaluation. The test results are sent to the passengers by e-mail and comply with the international Covid 19 travel regulations. Due to the high demand the opening hours of the test center in Terminal 2 have been extended since May 1 st , 2021. It is now open daily from 04.00 to 22.00.
