Fair working conditions
Swissport promotes fair and safe working conditions across its global operations. With a presence at more than 300 airports, we focus on ensuring consistent employment standards and supporting the wellbeing of our people.
We provide employees with access to digital communication tools such as the Swissport oneApp, supporting consistent information sharing across frontline, operational, and office-based teams.
Swissport applies global principles such as the Six Red Rules, which define minimum standards for fair and safe working conditions, including fair pay, predictable rostering, access to rest facilities, and workload management.
We also work in line with local labour frameworks and engage with employee representatives where applicable, supporting constructive dialogue and stable industrial relations across our operations.
Employee value proposition
Introducing our corporate values
The bedrock of a strong team lies not only in robust values, but also in clear workplace standards. To understand the needs of our workforce, we gathered direct insight through an employee survey.
The input received influenced the formulation of our three core values: Show You Care, Do the Right Things, and Win as a Team. It also helped shape our employee value proposition and our Six Red Rules – minimum standards for every station that define key commitments to our employees.
Compensation and benefits
Fairness and equal opportunity
We offer employees equal opportunities for recognition and career development. Compensation is based on role requirements, responsibilities, skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.
We pay competitive salaries in line with local market conditions and our internal compensation framework.
Collaborative labor relations
Constructive engagement
Swissport employs a large, diverse global workforce across many jurisdictions. We maintain open and stable working relationships with employees and their representative bodies.
With over 100 active collective labour agreements in more than 20 countries, we have established frameworks that support employee representation, covering around 65% of our global workforce.
Employee participation and communication
Next-generation mobile solution
To keep employees engaged, consistent communication and information sharing across the company are essential. Recognising that many Swissport employees do not work at desks with regular computer access, we invested in a next-generation mobile solution — the Swissport oneApp.
The oneApp is designed to support Swissport leaders, frontline, and back-office staff globally. It keeps teams updated on the latest Swissport news, workplace updates, and company initiatives.
