EcoVadis
EcoVadis, a renowned global provider of reliable sustainability ratings and insights, sets standards for resilient, sustainable supply chains, rating more than 150,000 companies across 185+ countries to assess their sustainability performance against critical ESG criteria.
In recognition of our robust ESG practices, Swissport earned the EcoVadis Platinum Medal in November 2024, and retained this prestigious recognition for a second consecutive year in November 2025, placing us in the top 1% of companies rated globally. We are proud to be the only aviation services provider worldwide with this distinction. Swissport annually submits data to EcoVadis, and their independent verification confirms that our practices meet the highest global standards, helping our airline and airport partners meet their own sustainability targets.
ISO
Swissport holds triple ISO certification at the global level: ISO 9001 for quality management (certified since 1999), ISO 14001 for environmental management, and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety. These certifications demonstrate our commitment to operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and employee wellbeing.
Additionally, Swissport is certified to ISO 37001 for anti-bribery management and ISO 27001 for Information Security Management.
ISAGO
Swissport's corporate head office and Management System have been registered under the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) since 2010, demonstrating our long-standing commitment to operational safety and excellence. As of 2025, 18 individual locations across our network hold station-level ISAGO registration.
ISAGO is the globally recognized standard for ground handling operations, ensuring that our services meet the highest safety and quality benchmarks set by the International Air Transport Association. This certification reinforces our dedication to protecting passengers, aircraft, and cargo whilst maintaining operational efficiency across our global network.
Certified for pharma logistics
Currently, 28 of our warehouses are certified for pharmaceutical logistics under IATA's CEIV Pharma, the British MHRA, GDP, or other recognised industry standards. These certifications guarantee air freight customers the highest quality and temperature-control standards for sensitive pharmaceutical products.
Our commitment to pharmaceutical excellence is further demonstrated through energy-efficient, temperature-controlled storage facilities at almost every warehouse in our global network of 126 cargo centers.
UN global compact
Swissport became a member of the UN Global Compact in 2011. Adhering to the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact constitutes a fundamental element of Swissport’s ESG strategy. Our membership reflects our commitment to upholding sustainable and responsible business practices. By aligning with the Global Compact's principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, Swissport demonstrates its dedication to fostering a socially responsible and ethically sound corporate culture on a global scale.
Airport Services Association (ASA)
Swissport has taken on a leading role in ASA, the industry association for ground handling services. We are driving ASA’s transformation into an aviation services organization and a strategic partner. Our aim is to promote structural changes that will help ASA acquire a strong voice in advocating for
industry standards, particularly in ESG matters. We also seek to establish a dependable partnership with key aviation partners such as ICAO, IATA, ACI, and others. Moreover, we are championing ESG values throughout the airport services industry and advocating for transparency and uniformity in reporting practices. Swissport recognizes its role as a market leader and is fully committed to leading the industry’s ESG journey.
