Swissport opens Catullo Lounge by Aspire at Verona Airport

Discerning travellers departing from Verona Airport (VRN) can now enjoy a new lounge experience as Swissport continues to expand its airport hospitality presence in Italy with the opening of the Catullo Lounge by Aspire. Located in the airport’s new terminal, the lounge welcomed its first guests on 16 February 2026.

Swissport International’s airport hospitality brand, Aspire Executive Lounges (Aspire) brings a new luxury look and feel lounge experience to Verona Airport (VRN) with the opening of the Catullo Lounge by Aspire. Situated after security control on ground level, the lounge opened to guests on 16 February 2026.

The lounge continues Aspires ongoing partnership with SAVE Group, the owners of Verona Catullo Airport, which manages Italy’s North-East Airport Hub, and operated by Aspire, the Catullo Lounge by Aspire offers discerning travellers a calm retreat ahead of their flight, through the brands promise of ‘Wait Wonderful’. Soft lighting, panoramic tarmac views, and 95 comfortable seats create a relaxed atmosphere designed for comfort, privacy and productivity before departure.

“We are proud to further strengthen our collaboration with Gruppo SAVE S.p.A. in Italy with the opening of the Catullo Lounge by Aspire in Verona, enhancing the overall airport experience through an attractive and high-quality pre-flight hospitality offering,” says Marina Bottelli, Managing Director Swissport Italia. “Following the launch of the lounge in Venice, this opening underlines Swissport’s commitment to the Italian market and our ambition to continue expanding our activities across premium lounges, ground handling and cargo services.  ”Open daily from 05:30-21:00, guests can enjoy complimentary food and beverages throughout the day, with a curated offer highlighting local Veneto cuisine and wines, alongside Italian classics and vegetarian options, and a dedicated barista offering high-quality coffee and tea. Additional amenities include showers, quiet zones, workspaces, and high-speed Wi-Fi.

The Catullo Lounge by Aspire is accessible via Business Class, Priority Pass, DragonPass, MileonAir and Dreamfolks. In addition, access can be purchased directly by all for EUR 42.

“At Aspire, we’re committed to delivering the highest quality service and guest experience, or as we like to say ‘time well spent’ leveraging over three decades of experience as a world-leading provider of airport hospitality and industry leading hospitality strategic partnerships with EHL, the Institute of Hospitably & more. We’re delighted to be working with the SAVE Group and Verona Catullo Airport on this latest project and look forward to collaborating with them to provide guests with a relaxing lounge experience ahead of their flight,” said David Collyer, Global Senior Vice President of Executive Lounges at Swissport International.

The opening of the Catullo Lounge by Aspire forms part of Swissport’s broader strategy to continuously evolve its lounge portfolio in line with the expectations of today’s travellers. Aspire welcomes around 6.4 million guests annually and operates a global network of flagship, partner, alliance, bank and credit card lounges. As of the end of 2025, Swissport operated 93 lounges around the world and continues to invest in premium airport hospitality concepts across key markets. With new openings in 2026, including lounges in Stockholm, Geneva, Calgary, Manchester and Vilnius, Swissport has a confirmed network of 106 lounges.
