EMPLOYEE LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

Training and development at all levels of the organization supports our employees in improving their qualifications.

At Swissport, we consider training and employee development as vital components for nurturing a skilled workforce, delivering excellent service to our customers, and ensuring the safety of our employees. We invest in training programs across all organizational levels, aiming to enhance our employees’ qualifications. Emphasizing strict ad herence to standardized processes and a continuous focus on preventing procedural errors are pivotal in averting incidents and, in the long run, accidents. By effectively reducing such occurrences through comprehensive safety training, we prioritize the safety of our employees, customers, and the communities around us.
TRAINING OF OPERATIONAL STAFF

The swissport training journey

For every 100 hours worked, Swissport invests in 3 hours of training for our operational employees, including basic training, specialized qualifications and refresher courses. This technical training follows a modular approach and covers generic training topics such as human factors, fire prevention, active supervision, health and safety, hazardous goods, and security.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Training effective leaders

“Active Supervision,“ a training program for frontline supervisors, aims to improve the mastering of leadership challenges in daily operations. The “Active Leadership Program“ (ALP) supports first-line and middle managers to further develop their effectiveness in the current business context, define their personal development journeys and improve their leadership performance. The “Senior Leadership Program“ (SLP) aims at maximizing the business impact of its participants. The "Station Manager Development Program" (SMDP) was developed to increase station manager confidence and skills to foster a shared understanding of consistent service delivery and safety.
