Diversity and inclusion
Swissport is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the communities we serve. We believe in the power of cultural diversity and equal opportunity, and support positive employee relations through transparency and dialogue.
We are also working toward greater gender representation in leadership, with a target of 40% of leadership roles held by women by 2027.
Inclusion is supported through leadership development, awareness initiatives, and global people programmes that help foster a culture of respect and belonging across the organisation.
Recruitment and equal opportunity
Impartiality and equality
As an “employer of choice,” we aim to recruit committed employees with diverse backgrounds and qualifications. We value both skills and a willingness to learn and grow.
Impartiality and equal opportunity are cornerstones of Swissport’s recruitment approach. We aim to provide a fair recruitment and onboarding experience for all candidates, regardless of role or location.
Inclusive workforce approach
Data and insights
Swissport uses HR data and reporting tools to support a consistent and transparent approach to workforce management across regions. This helps us monitor key workforce trends and support fair and consistent HR practices globally.
Collaborative labor relations
Constructive engagement
Swissport employs a large, diverse global workforce across many jurisdictions. We maintain stable working relationships with employees and their representative bodies.
With over 100 active collective labour agreements in more than 20 countries, these frameworks support employee representation across around 65% of our global workforce.
Participation and communication
“good practice“ database
In its "Good Practice" database, Swissport collects ideas from employees that enable operational improvements. Examples from this database include process improvements for cargo, ramp and GSE handling and operation, and management process improvements around safety, training or HR. After a review by Swissport's Good Practice Committee as well as technical specialists and health and safety experts, promising ideas are made available internally.
Employee resource groups (ERGs)
Supporting inclusion through employee networks
Swissport’s employee resource groups (ERGs) bring colleagues together to support inclusion and strengthen a sense of belonging across the organisation.
These voluntary networks provide a space for employees to connect, share experiences, and help foster a more inclusive workplace culture.
Our ERGs include initiatives for women, LGBTQIA+ colleagues, and employees with disabilities, supporting efforts to build a diverse and inclusive workforce across our global operations.
