Market Growth
Revenue in Asia grew to €0.23 billion, up from € 0.16 billion the previous year, representing an increase of 41 percent. Flight volumes rose by 31 percent to 88,738 weighted turns, while air cargo volume increased by 10 percent to 382,783 tonnes, reflecting the growing demand for both passenger and logistics services in the region.
A significant share of this growth was driven by Japan, where Swissport has continued to expand its footprint. In South Korea, Swissport extended its presence in the lounge sector. Under its Aspire Executive Lounges brand, we partnered with the global airline alliance oneworld to open the first-ever oneworld lounge experience in Seoul. Opened in December 2023, daily operations of the lounge are managed entirely by Swissport Korea

Our facilities include secure storage for high-value shipments, dedicated temperature-controlled zones for pharmaceuticals, perishables, and other sensitive goods, as well as a purpose-built Dangerous Goods (DG) warehouse at Incheon International Airport, ensuring the safe, compliant handling of regulated cargo across the region.

Raising the Bar in Lounge Comfort
Our global lounge brand, Aspire, is setting a new standard for modern travel in partnership with the oneworld alliance. Since December 2023, Swissport Korea has been managing the oneworld lounge at Seoul Incheon Airport’s Terminal 1—the first-ever lounge developed by the alliance.
In Japan, the Aspire Lounge at Narita International Airport is open to all travellers, regardless of airline or class of travel, and offers a wide range of premium amenities.
