Swissport appoints Danny Hakker as Chief Financial Officer for Continental Europe

Danny Hakker joins Swissport as Chief Financial Officer for Continental Europe effective 1 February 2022. The appointment further strengthens Swissport’s regional market structure.

Danny Hakker has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer for Continental Europe as of 1 February 2022. He is a senior finance leader with an excellent track record in leading change and building high-performance teams. Danny joins Swissport from RGF Staffing Netherlands, where he served as Finance Director. Previously, he held several senior finance positions with Endemol Shine Group and VEON.

In his new role, Danny will lead the Continental Europe finance function and work in close cooperation with the countries' finance teams to lead the finance transformation and process improvement projects, in line with the global strategy.

Jan van Engelen, Head of Continental Europe at Swissport, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Danny as Chief Financial Officer for Continental Europe. This is a key appointment for the further development of our new commercial structure, and we will continue to build our regional management team to enable faster decision making, support operational excellence and a consistent service delivery. "

In June 2021, Swissport announced a revised market setup with new regional managers. This structure created larger market clusters with direct reporting lines to the CEO, reducing overhead and increasing the speed of decision making. After completing the global management team and establishing the new regional market structure, this appointment now kicks off the further development of the Continental Europe cluster, consisting of Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Spain.
