Ramp & Baggage Handling

Swissport's service portfolio includes many tasks on the airport apron. For example, baggage handling, sorting and transport, de-icing and anti-icing, fueling, pushback or towing of aircraft, and load control. The load control teams calculate weight and balance as well as trim for each aircraft, to ensure a safe operation.

Roles are available at airports across Australia and New Zealand, all with convenient access and free staff parking. 
 

Dynamic team and duties
Working with our team you will contribute to safe and efficient aircraft arrivals and departures including passenger, baggage, and cargo movements. Your responsibilities will range from aircraft towing and marshalling, aircraft loading and unloading, handling baggage, servicing aircraft, airside driving and operating ground service equipment.

Shifts will range from 4 - 7.5 hours per day and might involve early starts or late evenings.


Full training provided

Friendly and safe environment 
All employees must be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), meet company and airport vaccination requirements and undertake background checks including Federal Police check, pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, and dangerous goods training.

Passenger Service Agents

Passenger service agents assist travelers with the check-in process and make sure that passengers and baggage are in the right place at the right time. At the departure gate, they manage the boarding process, close the flight and coordinate with the airline crew to ensure an on-time departure.

Passenger Facilitation Agents make sure that all passengers enjoy a smooth experience at the airport. They are helpful and courteous and ensure that each passenger is treated with the utmost respect and courtesy.

Working with our team you will help ensure a positive experience for airline passengers between the terminal and the aircraft. Duties include processing travel documents, assigning boarding passes and performing many of the behind-the-scenes processes required for airline operations.

AIRPORT BUS DRIVERS

Airport bus drivers operate a modern fleet of buses servicing car parks to the terminal, terminal transfer services, airside, aircraft to terminal, apron transfer services, emergency, VIP and corporate services. As an airport bus driver, you play a vital role in a busy airport operation, delivering a seamless, safe and efficient service to the many domestic and international passengers in Australia and New Zealand.

Dynamic team and duties
Swissport offers a unique working environment as one of the few companies in Australia to offer driving opportunities not just at the airport (landside) but also on the tarmac (airside). Casual, permanent part-time and full-time options are available, with shifts driving our modern fleet ranging between 4 and 7.5 hours a day.

Baggage Trolley Agents

Baggage trolley agents deliver a seamless, safe and efficient service in airport terminals, car parks and other airport areas by collecting baggage trolleys and ensuring they are returned to their stations. Swissport’s baggage trolley agents also provide a first and lasting impression to passengers and contribute to an exceptional the travel experience by offering directions and answering general inquiries from passengers.

Dynamic team and duties
Easy Cart (a Swissport company) employs casual Luggage Trolley Agents with a passion for exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include collecting trolleys and ensuring they are returned to their stations. You will be a point of contact for customers and assist with enquiries, directions, and general information. It’s important you provide a good first and last impression for airport visitors. 

Full training provided
Swissport offers full training, competitive remuneration and free staff parking. Agents must be available both weekends and weekdays.
